Oh Where to Start???
I know there is NO excuse for this not posting for almost 8 months. Now it isn’t as if nothing has been going on, God knows we have been hopping here, but when I had actual down time you’re not going to believe what I chose to do with it. Ready.... sleep and more sleep!
I started my new job in August and I love it. I love working with computers and I have learned so much. For me staying busy and constantly learning is a must. A bored Gail is not a good thing. It has been a great confidence builder for me as well. I had my doubts when I took the job whether I would be able to do the job properly. I also worried about the having to service the entire schools. You may not know this about people (still have my sarcasms) but people don’t know they are NOT THE ONLY PEOPLE ON THE PLANT! I tell you the look of shock on faces when I break this news to them. All in all I think I did good. The only truly stressful part was the win.exe virus. That little **** **** almost did me in. But I won! Take that!!
The girls….
Well it has been an interesting year to say the very least. I knew the teen years would be something but my word! Lindsey pulled some fast ones but being grounded for 3 months and losing her bedroom door seem to get that under control. She did change her religion in September. It was not a shock when she told me she wanted to become a Baptist, but I did have some reservation about how to break the news to the rest of the Catholic’s in the family. They all took it very well. As we see it as long as she is going to church its all good. I have a video of her baptism to share. Just a note while watching it, with out really thinking it through I let the daughter with Toruettes film so you know it has some rocky moments. It wouldn't link sorry I'll have to work on it. Lindsey is also a talented artist and in December she painted me this painting. I hung it up for the holidays.
Alyssa has struggled with her ”Toruettes finding the right meds and dosage was a bit tricky. On her bad days she will have violent body movements that would just exhaust her. I cannot describe how difficult it is to watch my daughter go through what she has to endure and not feel so incredibly helpless and angry. If there was any way I could do it for her I would. The tourettes along with her feelings towards her father leaving finally caught up with her and she is now actively involved in counseling. I say actively because in Aug – Oct when I would take her to the counselor she would just sit there and wait for her time to be up and not say a word. Now she is talking and I can see how much better she feels. She had some wonderful moments, one of which was being promoted in JROTC. Here is my dad and I with her after we pined her rank on.
As for me…
Well I am working on my last English class. I was also accepted into the Honors Society, which made me feel good. Hopefully I will be able to get a few scholarships from it. The divorce should be final shortly and that will be a huge relief. No I am not dating. Who has the time.
Gunter is doing great :o) he is my biggest baby.
I promise it won’t be 8 months before I post again. I really am going to try harder!
