Treat, Treat, Treat

No tricks here this Halloween!

I had a math test tonight and score a 98!!! YEAH ME!!!I am so glad the test is done.

Lindsey went trick or treating and left so fast that I didn't get a picture of her in her dead cheerleader costume! Alyssa stayed home and passed out candy, she was my criminal this year.

It Is Good To Be A Woman

It is good to be a woman:
1. We got off the Titanic first.
2. We can scare male bosses with the mysterious gynecological disorder excuses.
3 Taxis stop for us.
4. We don't look like a frog in a blender when dancing.
5. No fashion faux pas we make, could ever rival the Speedo.
6. We don't have to pass gas to amuse ourselves.
7. If we forget to shave, no one has to know.
8. We can congratulate our teammate without ever touching her rear end.
9. We never have to reach down every so often to make sure our privates are still there.
10. We have the ability to dress ourselves.
11. We can talk to the opposite sex without having to picture them naked
12. If we marry someone 20 years younger, we are aware that we will look like an idiot.
13. We will never regret piercing our ears
14. There are times when chocolate really can solve all your problems.
15. We can make comments about how silly men are in their presence because they aren't listening anyway.

I am asking for your prayers. My parents and my brother's family will be in Wilma's path. I talked to mom today and she said they are not too worried Wilma should be weak by the time she reaches them but prayers can't hurt.

She also told me about this sotry Plane Crashes Into Port St. Lucie Home. The house was less then block from mom and dad's. She heard the plane hit the house.

And After:

It's not that we aren't proud of his achievements...but maybe an office would be a better place for it.

Rob's side of the room before:

This is the best view I had. You can't see the chair but trust me it was there and with about 1 foot king space. This is so much better:

Now he has at lease 2 ft between the closets and the bed.

That's it for now but more will be coming. My pictures should be here today!

The start

I went out shopping yesterday for my bedroom. My goal is not to spend more then $300.00 to redo this room. I found some great deals.

One is this King quilt for $50.00 I love the colors.Image hosted by Photobucket.com The only problem is they don't have the shams to match. Honestly I want something very plan (Ivory) to go with this. I had wanted something quilted or lace but everything I have seen is way out of my price range. Come to think of it I may have some Battenberg shams in the closet.

My next deal was this basket. Image hosted by Photobucket.com It was on clearance at pier 1 Imports for $1.12. It is going to look great on my dresser and nightstand.

I also bought some new sheets at Bed, Bath and Beyond they are 230 thread count Linens & Lace. I can't wait to get them on the bed they are so soft.

I am cleaning out closets today and pulling out furniture so tomorrow the painting will begin.

*Edited To Add*

I found my shams Image hosted by Photobucket.com they match the bedskirt, curtians, and throw pillow I already have. Now the best part is they were only $7.99 each.Well within my budget. I found them at Home Visions. com. I do wonder how nice they will be for the price but we will see.

Reality Sets In

I have spent of much of the past 2 years thinking about the day that Rob comes home that it never hit me how I would be feeling when he was on his way.

Reality has set in. In 35 days he will be home if only for three weeks. Then two weeks later he will be home for good. I don't know how to feel about that. So much has happened in the past two years.

We have both been through many different experiences, led completely different lives. For his last homecoming I was so excited and it was such a stressful visit. I just don't dare to let myself get excited this time.

I must admit I am very nervous and a bit scared. What happens if after being apart so long we can't get back a life together? What happens if we can't work past the stress of him coming home?

I also have to think that the girls are so much different then when he was last home. We have a life that is different. How do I let down the guard I have built up to make it through this deployment and let go? How do I let it down and let him take over what I have been holding together for so long alone?

I wish I had answers to these questions but I don't. I guess I will just have to take it one step at a time and pray for the best.
